Kintsugi Healing Workshop
Thursday 15th October – 5pm
2 hours long.
Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of fixing broken ceramics with gold (and a technique which inspired Birch’s interior design). In this unique workshop you’ll learn a modernised Kintsugi technique (using resin glue and golden bronze powder) to create your own Kintsugi plate. During the workshop we use the symbolic breaking and fixing of a vintage plate to explore the philosophical concept of Wabi Sabi, the human experience, and how we can truly embrace imperfection to live a happier life.
This class involves meditation and discussion. All materials will be provided and you can keep your creations.
£45 / person
